bayc affiliates youth groups and organisations in the wider Midlands area. This currently covers Derbyshire, Herefordshire, Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire, Shropshire, South Yorkshire, Staffordshire and Worcestershire.
We offer 2 categories of affiliation, tailored to the group’s niche within the youth work scene.
Standard Package
This package gives groups 1 year’s affiliation (1st April to 31st March) and includes all of our basic core services:
Physical/practical support on start up procedures, policies and advice on training and general youth work issues
CRB support, inclusive of up to 5 FREE CRB checks for volunteers in any one year.
Access to reduced costs for the Studio Barn residential centre, situated in the heart of the Cotswolds.
Access to bayc’s low cost insurance scheme
Support from trained Youth Workers
A quarterly mailing of information via email or web downloads. (Please contact the bayc office if you do not have an email address)
In addition to our core package, bayc is keen to work in partnership with groups/organisation on specifically commissioned projects or events e.g. Youth Achievement Awards, Training, Connexions, Quality Standards, Youth Arts and Specific Gender Work.
Associate Membership
This package is designed for groups or organisations who do not have young people as members but nevertheless are interested in the work of bayc and wish to stay informed of our youth provision. It includes a monthly mailing of information via email or web download. (Please contact the bayc office if you do not have an email address)
The Fees The Standard Package rates are based on total income of the group:
Minimum fee (0£ - 10k income) £20
OR (11k – 20k income) £40
OR (20k+ income) £50
New groups affiliating after November in any year will receive a percentage discount on these advertised fees.

Associate Membership costs £25 per annum
To affiliate/re-affiliate you need to complete both an affiliation form and the remittance/advice form. The insurance declaration only needs to be completed if your group has its own insurance cover.
