Congratulations

18 years ago as a member of Silvermere Youth Club Paul Dutton was introduced to the rigours and pleasures of tall ship sailing, as part of the bayc sailing adventures.

In the beginning its true to say he hated it !!!

However as he learnt more the more he enjoyed it. He went on to undertake the bayc Watch Leader training course and subsequently sailed as watch leader for several different groups, giving back to a system that had given to him.

Paul had moved from a position of not understanding what could be gained from his participation to the point where he knew the more he learnt the more he could contribute. The outcome of this is to record.............

On the evening of Wednesday 16th May 2007 eighteen years after first setting sail he stood up to receive his certificate acknowledging him as.... and Yachtmaster. Off Shore Coastal Skipper

Congratulations and well done Paul

COMMUNITY PROGRAMMEWest Bromwich Albion FCThe Tom Silk Building, Halfords Lane, West Bromwich, West Midlands, B71 4LGRegistered Charity No. 1081948  To whom it may concern,  Our Community Programme has received significant benefit from our partnership with BAYC over the past few years across all our delivery areas. This has been especially significant over the past two years within our National Anti Social Behavior project KICKZ where we have experienced a fantastic partnership with BAYC. Your expertise and support at sessions with allowing the young people to have ownership and have their voice heard by supporting them with funding applications has been fantastic.  Through your hard work with the young we have managed to secure 10k of Brit trust monies to build a DJ recording studio here at the Tom Silk site that not only Kickz can utilize but the invitation also extends to your other music groups that I know you work with across the Black Country to use on a Wednesday night.  I look forward to our partnership continuing to develop over the future years and thank you for you help and hard work in inspiring, and investing in the development of the young people of Sandwell. Kind Regards R.Maye  Ryan MayeSocial Inclusion Manager
