Youth Involvement Team Who's Who

Want any information? Want to contact us about the youth involvement projects? Contact any of the team below we'd love to hear from you!

About Us

bayc is a voluntary sector youth organisation working to create opportunities for change in the lives of young people. We work with young people, with youth workers and youth groups, and with other agencies and organisations to advocate for young people and youth work.

Could You?......... Would You?....... Just Ask

Could you?.....Would you?.....Just Ask!

There is a core group of part time disabled volunteers aged sixteen to twenty five, who have looked

into accessibility issues as a whole for disabled young people. They have developed a ‘good

practice’ guide, along with a DVD of their experiences of what can make volunteering accessible

both for a young person with disabilities as well as a tool for employers to learn from and they want

to take the message forward!

My Story - Paul Savill

My name is Paul Savill I started working for bayc in February 2003, initially as a peer support worker for young disabled people. Over the many years I have worked for bayc my job role has changed significantly with my most recent role being centred on supporting young people to be at the heart of the decision making process within their organisations.

Well! What What Would You Do?

A group of young people from Darlaston School embarked on a project looking at issues relating to young people through their eyes today. The subjects that the young people covered were teenage pregnancy, cyber bullying, smoking, eating disordes, drugs and under age drinking. Each subject was acted out by young people with them deciding how best to tell the story. What was unique about this proect was that the young people had little drama experience and had written the scripts by themselves.

Congratulations

18 years ago as a member of Silvermere Youth Club Paul Dutton was introduced to the rigours and pleasures of tall ship sailing, as part of the bayc sailing adventures.

In the beginning its true to say he hated it !!!
